Production-ready crawler
  • +50–5,000 pages per audit — choose your crawl budget
  • +Three transparent scores — no fake single “SEO grade”
  • +Broken links, orphans, sitemap & hreflang in one report
  • +Core Web Vitals sample + GSC index overlay
  • +PDF export, audit compare, email when complete
01

Technical integrity

HTTP status codes, soft 404 detection, HTTPS, redirect chains, indexability (robots/noindex), and canonical tag validation — including trailing-slash and cross-domain edge cases.

02

On-page content quality

Title and meta description length checks, duplicate detection across the site, H1 presence, thin content warnings, and word-count thresholds per URL.

03

Link & site architecture

Broken internal and external link probing, orphan pages with zero inbound links, pagination issues, and internal link depth signals.

Everything a technical SEO audit should cover

From crawl to client-ready PDF — one workflow instead of five disconnected tools.

XML sitemap cross-check

Discover your sitemap automatically, compare listed URLs against crawled pages, and flag URLs in sitemap but not reached — or crawled but missing from sitemap.

Hreflang & international SEO

Validate hreflang tags, broken alternate targets, and missing return links — critical for multilingual sites ranking in the right country.

Google Search Console overlay

Connect GSC once per workspace. See which crawled URLs Google has not indexed and prioritize fixes that unblock discovery.

Core Web Vitals sampling

PageSpeed Insights mobile checks on a representative sample — LCP, INP, CLS flagged alongside slow server response times from the crawl.

Prioritized action plan

Issues ranked by severity and impact: critical broken links first, then duplicates, thin content, and low-hanging accessibility wins.

PDF, compare & notifications

Export white-label-ready PDF reports, diff two audits after a deploy, and get an email the moment your crawl finishes.

Sample prioritized findings

  • 8 critical broken internal links — fix before the next crawl wastes link equity.
  • 23 URLs in sitemap not crawled — blocked, redirected, or over page budget.
  • 12 duplicate title tags across product pages — merge or differentiate immediately.
  • 5 hreflang targets return 404 — breaks international ranking signals.
  • 41 pages not indexed in GSC — cross-check with noindex and canonical issues.
  • Mobile CWV poor on 6 key landing pages — LCP above 4s on homepage variants.

Site Audit — frequently asked questions

What is Serptik Site Audit?+

Serptik Site Audit is an all-in-one technical SEO crawler that runs on our own servers. It walks your site like a search engine bot, checks every discovered URL, probes linked targets, validates sitemap coverage, and scores pages across technical, content, and structural categories. Results include a ranked action plan, per-page issue lists, fix guides, PDF export, audit comparison, and optional Search Console index overlays.

What issues does Site Audit detect?+

HTTP errors and soft 404s, redirect chains, broken internal and external links, missing or duplicate title tags and meta descriptions, H1 problems, thin content, canonical mismatches and invalid targets, accidental noindex pages, missing JSON-LD schema, orphan pages with no inbound links, images without alt text, slow response times, poor Core Web Vitals (mobile sample), hreflang errors, sitemap URLs not crawled, crawled pages missing from sitemap, and pages not indexed in Google Search Console when GSC is connected.

How are health scores calculated?+

We do not use a single opaque “SEO score”. You get three separate 0–100 scores: Technical (HTTP, indexability, canonical, HTTPS), Content (title, meta description, H1, word count), and Structural (schema, internal links, image alt coverage). Each score reflects the percentage of applicable checks passed across crawled pages — fully transparent.

Does Site Audit integrate with Google Search Console?+

Yes. Connect your workspace to GSC in settings. During an audit, Serptik can overlay index status — flagging URLs that Google has not indexed — alongside crawler findings. This helps you distinguish crawl issues from indexing delays or manual actions.

Does it check Core Web Vitals?+

Yes. For a sample of key pages, Serptik runs PageSpeed Insights (mobile strategy) and surfaces poor LCP, INP, and CLS signals in your audit report alongside server response times from the crawl.

How many pages can I scan?+

Depending on your plan, each audit crawls 50 to 5,000 pages. You choose the page budget per run (10, 100, 1,000, or 5,000 within plan limits). The free plan includes 50 pages per audit and 1 audit per month; Agency allows 5,000 pages and 50 audits per month.

Is Site Audit free?+

Yes. A free account includes 1 site audit per month (up to 50 pages). Paid plans raise page limits, monthly audit quotas, and unlock scheduled re-crawls.

Do I need to install anything?+

No plugins or code snippets. Enter your domain, pick a page budget, and start the crawl. Our bot respects robots.txt and runs server-side.

Can I export and compare audit results?+

Yes. Download a PDF report for clients or stakeholders. Compare two completed audits side by side to track fixes and regressions after deployments or content changes.

How is this different from Google Search Console?+

Search Console shows how Google currently sees your site. Serptik independently crawls every reachable URL, finds broken links and orphan pages GSC may not list, validates hreflang and sitemap alignment, scores on-page SEO elements, samples Core Web Vitals, and delivers a prioritized fix list — then optionally enriches with GSC index data.
